Father’s day is our time of year to remember and reflect upon the good times with our dads. Often, dads can go somewhat unappreciated when it comes to our everyday life, and all our fathers are appreciated in different ways, that’s why I think it’s important to share with you an extremely fond memory I have of mine.
On April the 2nd 2011, my life changed forever. Being stuck in hospital for two months after my accident, I was in a very dark place. Luckily for me, I have two extremely caring parents, and if my mum wasn’t at the hospital with me, it was my dad.
Being very aware of my mental state, and the fact that I hated eating the food supplied by the hospital, my dad would come and feed me a different cuisine every night. And so while everyone around me was still receiving the same old meals, my dad and I would be feasting on Greek platters, gourmet pastas, or amazing Japanese food, he would never let me eat the food from the hospital.
It’s moments like these that make me extremely grateful for the family I have been given, and ones that were so instrumental to my recovery. Memories such as these are ones that make father’s day all that more worth it.
So to make this father’s day a little bit more special than the last, why not give a meaningful gift to a meaningful person, and order dad some tea. And also, after you have made any purchase, by sending an email to [email protected] including your invoice number and Dads name, my mum Janet will include a personal message to be included in the parcel.
